The cheap solar fans you can get at HD and Lowe's are fine for a garage installation, but this thing sits right over our master bedroom so I'm glad I spent the extra $$ to get something that I will never hear a peep from. And oh yeah, our house was 5-10 degrees cooler the first week after installation.
